During a six month programme commissioned by Power to Change, the RSA, in association with Real Ideas Organisation (RIO) and the Sheffield University Management School, will help an individual from your organisation develop management and leadership skills benefitting your community business and the wider sector. One person will be nominated to be the main participant in the programme and will attend 12 face-to-face training sessions, and commit to sharing their learning with the organisation, to successfully complete the course.

We are now recruiting for the South of Enland cohort. Find out more and apply on the RSA website.

What is community business leadership?

Community business leadership is unique in that it often involves a variety of people with different roles within the organisation. Whereas leadership is often seen as an individual top-down role, community leaders understand the importance of collective responsibility. If your community business is established and looking to enter a new phase of development by building on the skills of your leaders, our community business leadership development programme may be for you.  Read the blog post What is leadership?

What are the outcomes of the programme?

As well as connecting with other community business leaders across England, your team will develop a better understanding of how to tackle issues specific to your community business. At the end of the course you will have the confidence to be a spokesperson for the sector and receive a two year Fellowship at the RSA, helping you connect with influential leaders and change makers.
