Who we work with

Who we work with

We work with partners to shape the conditions for community business to thrive.

We back community business from the ground up. But we can’t do this alone. We work in partnership with organisations that can back community businesses to thrive in challenging conditions.

Our partners come from across sectors, including regional and local authorities, think tanks and research institutes. We also work closely with organisations that can provide tailored support to directly develop and support community businesses.

Together we do, test and learn what works.

Community business

Community businesses are helping communities across England to build stronger local economies and better places to live. We bring partners together to fund and develop projects that demonstrate what works for community business.

National government

We engage with and influence policy debates to help shape the conditions for community business to thrive. We tackle the barriers they face with practical solutions that work for government and community business.

Regional and local authorities

We work in partnership with regional and combined authorities to understand the unique needs of their local social economy and community businesses. We’ve worked with community businesses to shape the development of social investment funds and growth strategies. And we bring in the wider social sector to identify regional priorities for investment and support.

Together we can create better places

We know community business works to build stronger communities and better places to live. We’ve seen people create resilient and prosperous local economies when power is in community hands. We also know the barriers that stand in the way of their success.

We’re using our experience in the sector to tackle those barriers. We’d love you to join us to turn bold ideas into action.

Let’s talk about how we can work together.
