Could you support the next generation of community energy organisations by sharing your knowledge and experience? We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic community energy organisations to participate in a peer mentoring scheme.
20 Jan, 2021

The new Next Generation Community Energy Peer Mentoring programme will support up to 40 community energy groups in England to help them share their learning and experience.

Funded by Power to Change, the peer support programme will encourage shared learning in order to replicate business models and support genuinely sustainable, financially viable and innovative community businesses focused on environmental innovation.

In this first phase of the Next Generation Community Energy Peer Mentoring programme we are looking to recruit up to 10 mentoring organisations.

Working closely with Community Energy England and other community energy networks, the Next Generation programme is ensuring that all emerging materials, resources and learnings are made available to the whole community energy sector.

How can I get involved?

We are recruiting up to 10 community energy mentoring organisations to share your knowledge with a cohort of up to 4 other community energy groups.

To become a peer mentor, you will be:

  • From an established community energy group who has developed new innovative projects
  • An individual, sole trader or consultant with specific community energy technology expertise
  • From other organisations such as a local authority, parish council with expertise in the community energy sector

As a peer mentor, you will help to identify, share and tackle the wider challenges and opportunities in the community energy sector. You will help to make projects replicable and open source and avoid reinventing the wheel.
