Summer joined Power to Change in October 2019 working across digital marketing, PR and corporate communications to support the delivery of various workstreams and campaigns.
Summer is passionate about environmental and social issues, and was the first scholar to receive the Crispin Aubrey Legacy Fund whilst she was at university studying journalism. Following graduation and a short time travelling the Pacific Coast, she went on to become a trade journalist before making the move into communications and public relations.
The proudest moment of Summer’s career was when she had her first article published in The Ecologist, shining a light on the work of Surfers Against Sewage – a charity close to her heart. Outside of work, Summer is an avid reader and enjoys shooting photos on film and spending far too much time binge-watching shows on Netflix.
“Community business is unlike any other sector – it puts people at the heart of everything. Telling the stories of the many inspiring groups of people across the country making a change in their neighbourhoods is a daily honour.”
