Kevin’s main research interests are in oral and community-based history projects and the positive impact these can have on the communities involved.

He has previously worked on projects examining how public heritage is used to define and display unique cultural identities and interned at the Mellon Centre for Migration Studies. Having recently completed an MA in public history at Queen’s University, Belfast, Kevin is now researching his doctoral thesis on “Roots, revivals and reinventions: community business in regional perspective since the 1970s”, at Glasgow Caledonian University.
