Anna has 19 years’ experience in community self-build, having co-founded Ashley Vale self-build in 2000 and built her own home as part of this 40-home collective eco-build project. She also brings experience in from her former career as a science and policy adviser in the environmental sector.

She is a founding director of Ecomotive, a social enterprise promoting community-led housing, and in 2018 was awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust fellowship, which supported her visit to Germany, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand to research alternative models of housing delivery and bring back knowledge to advance the community build sector in the UK.
