Ann-Marie has worked in the social economy sector for the past 20 years with some of the North’s most well known social enterprises. Her journey down this path started when she was given a consultancy assigned in the local authority with the remit of ‘sorting out’ the Social Economy Team which was ‘system-less’ and struggling through staff absence. It was a natural move from here to be head hunted as the Programme Manager for The Cat’s Pyjamas (a social enterprise development organisation), whereby she worked with existing social enterprises across the UK to deliver events of training to new and developing social enterprises. She was then Training Manager at CREATE UK (social enterprise white goods recycler), working with long term unemployed people to support them to gain employment. From here she moved to Eldonians whereby she worked as a management consultant working across the UK with large construction firms writing and delivering CSR strategies, supply chain strategies and training strategies for bids. Now she is at Rotunda as Operations Manager working in a community based Anchor Organisation.
