Plunkett Foundation is launching the Better Business surveys for community pubs and shops. The Better Business reports are valuable state of the sector research that has been completed annually since 2013. In this year’s surveys, they want to hear your views on the impact of the pandemic on your community business.

Responses to the Better Business surveys are valuable because:

  • They give an up-to-date overview of how community businesses are faring, and the state of the sector.
  • They provide a benchmark for other community businesses, or for new groups considering setting one up.
  • Plunkett often calls on evidence from the Better Business reports, when representing the needs of the sector to policy makers in its advocacy work.

Your responses also help Plunkett to tell the story of the tremendous social contribution that community businesses have made to their communities during the pandemic.

The survey takes just 10-15 minutes to complete. You can find the surveys here:

Survey for community pubs: https://www.tfaforms.com/4892386 (Deadline Friday 23rd April)

Survey for community shops: https://www.tfaforms.com/4892383 (Deadline Friday 30th April)

All responses are completely anonymised when used to develop the reports.

This year, Plunkett Foundation are also releasing a survey for tenants of community pubs. They are seeking to give a voice to the views of pub tenants and would like to hear what support they can offer that would be most helpful. They are accepting responses on a rolling basis, and you can complete this very short survey here:https://www.tfaforms.com/4894885
