The £9.5 million Covid-19 Community-Led Organisations Recovery Scheme is being delivered by Power to Change, Locality, The Ubele Initiative and Social Investment Business on behalf of the National Lottery Community Fund. Find out about the Lottery’s other schemes.

What is the Covid-19 Community-Led Organisations Recovery Scheme?
Covid-19 Community-Led Organisations Recovery Scheme offers grants up to £100,000 to community organisations in England who are facing financial difficulties caused by Covid-19. The scheme is aimed at organisations delivering services in their local community to support people who are at high risk from Covid-19, with an emphasis on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME)-led or BAME-supporting businesses.

For more information about whether your community organisation will be eligible, please read the guidance notes.

What can you apply for?
Up to £100,000 grant and business support to:

  • help people and communities experiencing disproportionate challenge and difficulty as a result of the COVID-19 crisis
  • provide services and support for vulnerable people, for which there will be increased demand as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.

How can I apply?
The recovery scheme is now closed.

Please be aware that this round closed at 1pm and applications not completed by this time will not be registered.

If your organisation is successful at the first stage application, you will be invited to complete the second stage application form, where you will be asked for more details about your organisation and evidence of how you meet the criteria. You can read the Stage 2 guidance notes here. (Please note that the Stage 2 guidance notes have been updated to include three questions which look at how your organisation has been affected by Covid-19. These additional questions will not affect your eligibility to apply for the scheme.)

In the Stage 2 application you will be asked to fill in a funding breakdown form. The form has two worksheets and you need to complete them both. They are:

  • Budget Detail – You need to provide a list of all the costs you want you grant request to cover and when you expect to pay those costs
  • Sources of Funding – The European Commission has put into place a Temporary Framework for State Aid to enable governments to support economies during the Covid-19 crisis.  This Temporary Framework allows all organisations to receive up to €800,000 of government support from March – December 2020.  In order for us to be able to provide you with a grant under this framework, we need you to tell us about any other grants or loans you have received since March 2020 which have been provided specifically to help you address immediate finance needs that have arisen from the coronavirus outbreak.

We only need to know about direct grants or loans.  You do not need to tell us about payments you have received from the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (furlough payments), any business rate reliefs or tax deferrals. We will use the information you provide to us to ensure that any grant awarded to you from the CCLORS programme adheres to the rules of the Temporary Framework.  If you have not received any coronavirus specific grants or loans since March, please enter ‘None’ in the first row under ‘Name of Funder’.

You can see the form here.  If you are invited to complete a Stage 2 application form,  you will be sent a unique ID and link to the Stage 2 Application form, and also a copy of this template.
