We are delighted to have completed the recruitment of our community business panel. Formed from eleven exceptional individuals from a range of sectors, regions and different stages of their community business journey, the panel will make a huge contribution to the work of Power to Change by providing expert advice to our board and senior team.
With practical experience in establishing and running a community business, the panel will provide a wide range of insight and challenge the Power to Change’s plans, ensuring we are well-informed, on track and delivering against our objectives.
The panel met for the first time in June and we were inspired by the experience they bring. They represent communities who have stepped up with ingenuity and entrepreneurialism during the current harsh economic climate, who have taken ownership of businesses themselves and utilised new emerging funding mechanisms to put themselves in control of their future. It is the people who have led this growing movement of communities who have taken their place on our panel. With their support, we hope to encourage more people to set up community businesses and help existing community businesses to thrive.
